Text
The Text element is a versatile tool. With a Text element, you can add written content to your Web page,
including promotional copy, explanatory text, instructions, and more. An interesting feature of the Text
element is that it accepts HTML and Java script commands, which are then incorporated into the coding of
your Web page.
To add a Text Element to the site, select the "Text" option within the "Element to Add" pull-down menu
and then click the "Add Element" button. After you add the Text element, there is a field
where you can type in the text. You may enter your text directly into the field if you wish, but for more options,
click the "Edit" button. This will open the editing window of the Text element.
If you want help integrating HTML within your text (e.g. tables, fonts, images, breaks, symbols, etc.), select
the "Format" button. An HTML editor will then pop-up.
The HTML editor works much like a simplified word processor. Many of the icons and menus, particularly those
dealing with text formatting, appear as they would on a standard word processing program.
(NOTE:The Java 1.4 plug-in is required to run this HTML Editing feature. To download the most current
version of Java, go to www.java.com.)
Image
With an Image element, you can add pictures, graphics, and logos to your Web page.
To add an image, select the "Image" option within the "Element to Add" pull-down menu
and then click the "Add Element" button. You may click the "Pick Image…" button to open
the Upload Files feature directly and select an image.
But for a wider array of options, click the "Edit" button.
Heading
The Heading element is a tool used to add headings to your Web page.
Headings are useful because they break up the monotony of your page content and help visitors
quickly understand what you are saying.
Think of headings as the headlines on a newspaper. You can often skim the headlines of a paper to
get a basic idea of what's going on in the world. The headings on your Web page should summarize
your content in much the same way.
To add a Heading, select the "Heading" option within the "Element to Add" pull-down menu
and then click the "Add Element" button. Then type your heading within the field, yet for more options,
click the "Edit" button.
Auto Responder
The Auto Responder element helps you compile a list of people who have interest in the product or service you sell.
Essentially, it allows you to tell your online visitors that you have great information you will email
to them if they give you their email address. The free information could include a newsletter, a recipe,
trade secrets-anything pertaining to your product that your customers might be interested in.
The nice part about the Auto Responder is that it is completely automated. You create an email, which the
Auto Responder sends automatically to every visitor who submits his or her email address.
Every time a visitor requests information from your Auto Responder, you receive a notification
email containing the address of the person who made the request.
To add an Auto Responder, select the "Auto Responder" option within the "Element to Add" pull-down menu
and then click the "Add Element" button. Then click the "Edit" button.
Email a Friend
The Email a Friend element helps you encourage word-of-mouth marketing.
When you place the element on your Web page, you give your online visitors an easy way to email
their friends and tell them about your Web site.
To add an Email a Friend element, select the "Email a Friend" option within the "Element to Add" pull-down menu
and then click the "Add Element" button. For more options, click the "Edit" button.
External URL
The External element allows you to place an external web page (such as http://www.links4trade.com/) in the middle of the page you are
editing. The external URL will be embedded within your page.
Link
The Link element can be useful in several respects.
You can use it to direct visitors to other areas of your Web site or to other Web sites that you own and operate.
To add a Link, select the "Link" option within the "Element to Add" pull-down menu
and then click the "Add Element" button. For more options, click the "Edit" button.
Product List
This element is automatically added when you select products to be listed on this page. Selecting products is done
within the gray "Products" tab of every page.
Advanced Options
If you wish to re-position the elements on your page, click the "Advanced Options" button and
enter the appropriate values within the "Position" fields.
To delete an element, select the checkbox in the column under the "Trash Can" icon, and select the "Update" button.
